Programmes

Care that fits around a job, a school, and a family.

Addicted To Addicts is not a hospital and not a medical detox unit. It is a private practice for counselling, a structured outpatient programme, and help arranging the next right place.

Counselling

One-to-one sessions for the emotional, practical, and family strain around addiction. The work is to name what is driving the use, build coping that holds on an ordinary Tuesday, and set a recovery a person can actually keep.

Sessions also cover trauma and the people living with the person who is using. Families are not an afterthought. They are often the reason the first call happens.

Every plan is individual. There is no single script for a working adult, a learner, and a parent.

Three-month outpatient programme

For people who cannot step out of work or school into a residential centre. The programme runs for a minimum of three months and is built to reduce the chance of relapse while life continues.

For people in work

Many clients still have a job and are close to losing it through absence, performance, or use at work. Where it can be arranged, sessions sit outside working hours. The aim is to protect the employment, rebuild trust, and stop the problem becoming a disciplinary matter.

For learners

Addiction disrupts school, friendships, and the next few years. Learners can stay enrolled. Sessions are confidential. A parent or guardian is part of the plan. The work covers what substances do to judgement, coping with pressure and peers, attendance, and the family relationship.

  • Individual counselling
  • A 12-step structure, including Celebrate Recovery
  • Relapse prevention
  • Agreed drug and alcohol testing, for accountability
  • Infrared sauna with vitamin support, alongside the counselling

Faith is part of how the programme is taught. You do not have to share that belief to be treated with respect, and you will not be turned into a project.

Family intervention

Families usually know something is wrong long before they know what to say. We help you prepare a clear, non-confrontational conversation, decide who should be in the room, and agree what you will do if the person asks for help.

If someone chooses a treatment centre, the practice can accompany them there. We do not collect or transport an adult against their will. That is not a service we offer.

Support continues after the conversation, including the awkward weeks while a person settles into treatment or an outpatient plan.

Infrared sauna

One-hour infrared sauna sessions are offered with vitamin support, as part of a wider recovery plan. Heat can ease muscle tension, help people settle, and support sleep. Vitamin support replaces nutrients that long use often depletes.

Sweating is not a medical detox. These sessions do not replace a doctor, a hospital, or supervised withdrawal. They do not shorten medical detoxification. They sit beside counselling, not instead of it.

Residential treatment

Some people need a centre, not an outpatient plan. The practice works with rehabilitation centres across South Africa, including faith-based programmes that use a 12-step structure, and helps a family approach admission.

Any placement is discussed directly. This site does not publish fees. What it costs, and what is included, is part of the confirmation call.
